A 7 seater taxi in Tolworth is the car to book when a group is too big for an ordinary MPV, or when the luggage is going to take up as much room as the people. Our 7/8 seater vehicles are the largest in our fleet, and they are built for exactly those jobs.
When a 7/8 seater is the right choice
A 7/8 seater is worth booking when:
- there are seven or eight people travelling together
- there are six people with a large suitcase each, which would overload a 6 seater taxi
- you are carrying bulky items such as golf bags, skis, bikes in bags or a double buggy
- a group is going to an event and wants to arrive together
If you are not sure which size you need, tell us the number of passengers and list the bags when you book. We would rather talk it through than have a car arrive that is too small.
Long airport runs for groups
Our 7/8 seaters come into their own on the longer airport runs. From Tolworth, Stansted and Luton are well over an hour away via the M25, and many of their flights are budget holidays with a big group and a lot of luggage. One large car with a fixed fare usually works out much better value per person than several smaller cars or train tickets with heavy cases.
For the return trip we track your flight and adjust the pickup time, and meet and greet is available so the driver meets the group in arrivals. Child seats are available on request if you have young children in the party.
Local events that fill the car
Tolworth is close to some of the busiest event days in the south-east, and they are the days when a group car is most useful:
- Derby Day at Epsom Downs in early June brings huge crowds and road closures, so arranging a drop-off and pickup point in advance is essential. See our taxi in Epsom page.
- Wimbledon tennis in late June and early July, when parking near the grounds is almost impossible.
- Rugby at Twickenham, where traffic builds for hours before and after a match.
- Weddings and parties at hotels and venues around Kingston and Surrey.
For big events, we will agree a sensible meeting point for the return, because roads near the venue may be closed or gridlocked.
Groups travelling to London stations
Groups heading off on a rail holiday or a long-distance trip can book a 7/8 seater to any London terminal. For example, Tolworth to King's Cross for trains to Scotland and the north, or Paddington for the west country. Arriving together with all the bags is far easier than a group trying to navigate the Underground.
