Tolworth Minicabs Cars is a private hire company based on Tolworth Broadway in Surbiton. This page explains who we are, where we work from and how a booking with us is handled, so you know what to expect before you get in the car.
Who we are
We are a local firm, not a national booking app. Our office is on Tolworth Broadway, KT6 7DJ, a short walk from Tolworth station and the Tolworth Tower junction on the A3. The people who answer the phone plan the jobs, and the drivers who do them work these roads every day.
Most of our customers live or work within a few miles of the office. They book us for the same kinds of trips again and again: the early Heathrow run, the Friday evening pickup from Surbiton station, the weekly trip to the hospital, the family holiday to Gatwick in a 7 seater. We would rather do those journeys well than try to be everything to everyone.
Day to day we cover Tolworth, Surbiton, Kingston upon Thames, Chessington, Worcester Park and the other areas on our areas we cover page. Longer journeys, including all five London airports and the main rail terminals, can be booked from any of those areas.
How we work
Fixed fares, agreed first
When you book, we give you a fixed fare for the trip. You know the price before you travel, and it does not rise if the A3 is slow. If you change the trip, for example by adding a stop, we will tell you the new price before we confirm the change.
Open 24 hours
We run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. That matters most for flights. A 6am departure from Gatwick can mean leaving Tolworth before 3am, and you should not have to worry about whether the car will turn up.
The right car for the job
Our vehicles are saloons, estates, executive cars, 6 seater MPVs and 7/8 seaters. We ask about passengers and luggage when you book so that the car fits the trip. Child seats are available on request.
Airport pickups
For pickups we track your flight and adjust the collection time if it lands early or late. You can also book meet and greet, where the driver waits for you in the arrivals area.
Paying
You can pay by card or cash.
In London, only licensed private hire vehicles booked through a licensed operator can legally carry pre-booked passengers. If a car ever turns up that does not match your booking details, do not get in. Call us on 020 3642 5921 instead.
